Willy's Wily Wenches

Shakespeare is better with boobs

Trust us. We should know. Our audiences always love Shakespeare when we perform it. Seats fill up fast whenever we take to the stage. People unable to find a seat in the audience will stand in the lanes and paths surrounding the stage, just to watch us perform.

Yes, we wear corsets and skirts and we certainly aren't afraid to shake what our mamas gave us but we're so much more than that. We're a group of talented actresses that have a knack for making Shakespeare easier to understand for the average Janes and Joes out there. With us, Shakespeare is entertaining. More importantly, it's just downright fun.

And our audiences appreciate it. They laugh a lot and clap until their hands are sore. Even better, they come back, time and time again. They buy season passes just to catch our shows over and over. In other words, they join our 'flock' of fans... and we couldn't love them more.

Now, imagine Shakespeare when it was new. Not centuries old, performed a million different ways, and done over and over again. Ink still wet, hot off the presses, in full folio regalia, men dressed in drag to perform the female parts, the whole nine yards. Wait, what? Did that just read "men dressed in drag"? Yup! It wasn't until decades after his death that women were allowed to perform in any play, much less Shakespeare's.

We think that is terribly unfair. Thus, why we are getting revenge on history! We've taken some of Shakespeare's most famous plays, scrunched them into one act shows, and play all the parts ourselves; both male and female! We think it's infinitely more fun that way. We know you will, too!
